New Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD) Resources

June 12, 2008
Dear PALS Attendee/PALS Community.com Member,

The Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease recently co-hosted a meeting with Emory University entitled Fighting Chronic Disease: The Missing Link in Health Reform, where they released the document “Keeping America Healthy: A Catalog of Successful Programs,” (a.k.a. "Promising Practices")

This first-of-its-kind document, features nearly 150 programs as either, Programs that Work, Programs to Watch, or Programs with Promise.  In addition to an extensive, hard-copy document, a website has been launched on which you can search the database of programs and submit additional programs to be considered for inclusion on the site.  Click here to visit the site:

Please also see the attached document, which further explains “Promising Practices,” and describes how best it can be used to create solutions that will help mend our broken health care system, along with a template press release your organization can issue in support of the release.

This information from the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease is being provided to you on behalf of the PALS Community and is available on the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease website, as well as on the PALS Community website.
